In your Life Group, put this into practice.

Everyone say to each other “My brother/sister I love you and you’re going to help me pray effectively and I will help you. I will not get offended by you helping me.”

Then each person identify a need – a health problem, a financial need etc.

Then each person gets prayed for by everyone in the group, one after another. Then everyone positively criticises all the prayers as to how effective they were according to the teaching and in the perception of the recipient of the prayer.

Encourage people to share on their experiences

Prayer = Relationship

Dutch Sheets – Our motivation for prayer must be relationship – communing with God.

Andrew Wommack – 90-95% of his prayer is worship – relationship building. 5-10% is supplication.

All Kinds of Prayer

Eph 6:18 – praying always with ALL (kinds of) prayer and supplication in the Spirit.

I Tim 2:1 Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessionsand giving of thanksbe made for all men.

Kings and Priests

To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood and has made us kingsand prieststo His God and Farther (Rev 1:5-6)

Andhavemade us kings and priests to our God, and we shall reign on the earth (Rev 5:10)

Kings of the OT represented God before the people. They were to bring Heaven to earth and rule and reign on behalf of God.

Jesus came as the second Adam and sinlessly defeated Satan in resurrection and took back authority in the earth for man and re-delegated man with the authority to govern again in the earth. “All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. Go thereforeand make disciples of all the nations” Matt 28:19

Aiteo and Erotao

These 2 Greek words for ‘prayer’ or ‘ask’ have a wealth of information in them that defines our Kingly Prayer

Aiteo – asking as a covenant right

Erotao – asking as a favour

John 16:23 – And in that day you will ask (erotao)Me nothing. Most assuredly I say to you, whatsoever you ask (aiteo)the Father in My name, He will give you. 24. Until now you have asked (aiteo)nothing in My name. Ask (aiteo)and you will receive, that your joy may be full.

What is ‘that day’ – after the cross when the new covenant was ratified.

John 14:12 – Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also, and greater works than those he will do, because I go to the Father. 13. And whatever you ask (aiteo)in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14. If you ask (aiteo)anything in My name I will do it.

Is 53:4 Surely He has borne our griefsand carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smittenby God and afflicted. 5. But he was woundedfor our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisementfor ourpeacewas upon Him, and by His stripeswe are healed. 6. And the Lord has laid on Him the iniquityof us all.

Is 61:1 – The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preachgood tidingsto the poor; He has sentme to healthe broken-hearted, to proclaimlibertyto the captivesand the opening of the prison to those that are bound.2. To proclaimthe acceptable day of the Lord (Jubilee)

All these negativities were paid for on the cross and we as kings are to enforce their defeat in the earth in His name. We go in his authority – ambassadors on His mission – dispersing the darkness by bringing the light of the glorious gospel of Christ into a fallen world.

Prayer of Agreement

Matt 18:19-20 – Again I say unto you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask (aiteo), it will be done for them by My father in heaven. 20. For where 2 or 3 are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.

That is why spouses praying together is so powerful and marriage comes under attack from Satan to prevent us being able to agree.

He has ALREADY done it on the cross. So don’t ask (erotao) Him to do something he’s already done.

NO – Lord please give me peace….I feel so depressed

YES – Devil I rebuke you and resist your depressing thoughts. Depression be gone. I have the peace of God which passes all understanding.

NO – Lord please anoint me to preach this message. I feel so inadequate

YES – I am anointed to preach the word. I am in Him and He in me by the Holy Spirit

NO – Lord please bless me with a good job or a break to get by

YES – I have the favour of the Lord because I am a co-heir with Christ.

NO – Lord please heal me….some day. Give me patience to endure

YES – I am healed. Body be healed. Cancer go.

John 15:7 – If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask (aiteo) what you desire, and it shallbe done for you. 8. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be my disciples.

Eph 3:20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us.

Phil 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure

James 4:3 You ask (aiteo) and do not receive, because you ask (aiteo) amiss that you may spend it on your pleasures.

Its God’s pleasure to give you abundantly above all you ask or think, but what is the motivation; what is your heart. Ask according to His will, abiding.

1 John 5:14-15 – Now this is the confidencethat we have in Him, that if we ask (aiteo) anything according to His will, He hears us, 15. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask (aiteo), we know that we have the petitions that we have asked (aiteo) of Him

Once only

In most circumstances Kingly prayer is only prayed once. If you pray in faith for a symptom to go, you have your answer as soon as you pray. Thank God while the manifestation comes. Don’t doubt and if you pray again, which prayer was prayed in faith? Jesus only once prayed again for the blind man until he could see properly instead on men as trees walking, so we can push through to see the correct manifestation but continue believing and declaring the solution until the manifestation comes.
