At Highway Christian Community, we believe the church is more than just a place you attend — it is a family you belong to. Every healthy family has a way of organising itself to ensure everyone is cared for, supported through every season of life, and empowered to move forward in their spiritual journey. As a New Testament church, we accept this biblical pattern of servant leadership.
Because our church is dynamic and we are consistently raising up new leaders, we choose to focus on the roles, responsibilities and requirements of eldership rather than personalities.
Our elders and leaders do not lead from a place of corporate strategy; they serve to help our church family live out biblical callings:
Ensuring that all teachings, Sunday sermons, and discipleship materials align with the truth, authority, and theological standards of Scripture.
Guiding strategic planning, facilities development, budget stewardship, and long-term vision so practical tools always serve the greater spiritual mission.
Disagreements happen in any family. Our leadership acts as mediators to resolve conflicts using biblical principles, focusing on reconciliation, healing, and strengthening relationships.
